Information from other sources
- Other users: information about you contained in messages, content, reports, or support requests submitted by another person.
- Sign-in and platform providers: information from Google, Apple, or another provider when you use its account or app-store services.
- Service providers: analytics, attribution, communications, fraud-prevention, and payment-status information from providers that help operate the Service.
Communications notice: Messages and user content should not be treated as confidential storage. We may process content when needed to deliver the Service, respond to reports, enforce our rules, protect users, or comply with law.
3. How we use information
We use information for the following purposes:
- create, authenticate, maintain, secure, and delete accounts;
- display profiles and content and enable discovery, following, matching, messaging, translation, audio/video calls, rankings, and other social features;
- process and verify app-store purchases, deliver virtual items, maintain balances, and respond to billing questions;
- personalize recommendations, language, content order, settings, and the overall user experience;
- provide support, respond to requests, send service notices, and communicate changes to the Service or policies;
- measure installs, feature use, campaign performance, reliability, and engagement and improve or develop the Service;
- detect, investigate, prevent, and respond to spam, fraud, harassment, impersonation, payment abuse, unauthorized access, child sexual abuse and exploitation, and other illegal or prohibited conduct;
- moderate content and accounts using reports, human review, and technical systems where appropriate;
- comply with legal obligations, preserve evidence, exercise or defend legal claims, and cooperate with authorities when lawfully required.
4. Device permissions and your choices
- Camera: to take profile photos, create content, and participate in video communications.
- Microphone: to record audio you choose to send and participate in audio/video communications.
- Photos or media: to select and upload images, video, or audio and save media when you request it.
- Notifications, where used: to alert you about messages, calls, account activity, purchases, or safety and service updates.
You can deny or revoke permissions in your device settings. Some features will not work without the permission they require. Where applicable, device or app-store settings may also let you limit advertising identifiers, analytics, or tracking.
6. Legal bases for processing
Where the law requires us to identify a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following: performance of our contract with you; your consent; compliance with legal obligations; protection of vital interests; and our legitimate interests or those of others, including operating and improving the Service, preventing fraud, keeping users safe, enforcing our rules, and defending legal rights. You may withdraw consent at any time, but withdrawal does not affect processing that was already lawful.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, while your account is active, and as required or permitted by law. Retention periods vary according to the type of data and why we hold it:
- account, profile, content, communications, and social activity are generally kept while the account is active;
- purchase, tax, accounting, consent, and transaction records may be retained for legally required recordkeeping periods;
- reports, moderation outcomes, device signals, and limited account identifiers may be retained when necessary to protect users, investigate harmful conduct, prevent banned users from returning, resolve disputes, or defend legal claims;
- backup copies may remain for a limited period until securely overwritten, and de-identified or aggregated information that no longer identifies you may be retained for analytics, safety, and service improvement;
- information preserved in response to a valid legal hold, law-enforcement request, or child-safety reporting duty is kept for the period required by law.
8. Account and data deletion
In the app: open your profile or account area, go to Settings, choose Delete Account, and complete the confirmation steps.
Outside the app: email carlaperez15992@gmail.com with the subject "BuzzTalk Account Deletion Request." Include the BuzzTalk user ID and the email address or sign-in method associated with the account so we can verify the request. Do not send your password, payment-card details, or illegal content.
After verification, we will permanently delete or de-identify the account and associated personal information within a reasonably prompt period and no later than required by applicable law, except for limited information we must or are permitted to retain for security, fraud prevention, financial recordkeeping, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or child-safety purposes as described above. Content already delivered to another user may remain in that user's messages or copies outside our control.
Subscriptions: deleting your BuzzTalk account does not automatically cancel an app-store subscription. If you have one, cancel it separately in Google Play or the platform where you purchased it to prevent future charges.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, know about, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information; receive a portable copy; withdraw consent; opt out of targeted advertising or certain disclosures; and appeal a denied request.
You can update some profile information and preferences in the app, revoke device permissions in system settings, delete your account using the process above, or submit a request to carlaperez15992@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity or authority before completing a request. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
10. International data transfers
BuzzTalk and its providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Privacy laws in those locations may differ. Where required, we use legally recognized safeguards for international transfers and take reasonable steps to ensure information receives appropriate protection.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including access controls, protected transmission where appropriate, authentication safeguards, logging, monitoring, and service-provider controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your credentials confidential, use your device's security features, and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
12. Adults only and children's privacy
BuzzTalk is intended only for people who are at least 18 years old and have reached the age of legal majority where they live. We do not knowingly permit children to create accounts or intentionally collect personal information from them.
If we reasonably believe an account belongs to a person under 18, we may restrict or remove the account and delete associated personal information, subject to legal and safety retention duties. To report an underage user or a child-safety concern, use the in-app reporting tool or contact carlaperez15992@gmail.com. Our detailed standards are in the BuzzTalk Child Safety Standards.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when our practices, technology, services, or legal obligations change. We will post the updated version here, revise the "Last updated" date, and provide additional notice in the app or by another appropriate method when a change is material and the law requires notice or consent.
